The Istituto Buddista Italiano Soka Gakkai signed Law no. 130 of 28/06/2016 with the Italian State and consequently shares in the distribution of the 8×1000 (Eight per thousand, or 0.8%) of citizens’ annual income tax, together with eleven other religious confessions.
The IBISG has always undertaken to promote inter-Buddhist and interreligious dialogue, and has always participated in academic debates on subjects of common interest. The Agreement law with the Italian State and therefore the participation in 8×1000 funds represent a new starting point to meet the expectations and trust of the Italian society.
