Support and promote creativity and innovation among young artists, providing funding for projects that showcase originality, talent, and dedication to the arts and culture.
Make artistic works and events more accessible and inclusive to a broader audience by implementing initiatives such as free access programs, multilingual translations, disability-friendly spaces, and the celebration of diverse cultures.
Inspire young people to engage with the arts, creating immersive artistic experiences that reshape how the next generation perceives and interacts with art.
The project aims to support and promote the creativity and innovation of a collective of young artists under 35, providing them with opportunities to develop their artistic careers while engaging with the community.
It builds upon the experience of Milk Spazio d’Arte, an experimental initiative launched in 2023, which enabled a small group of professionals to explore sustainability through non-formal art education programs in the northern province of Naples, an area lacking such opportunities.
Inspired by the Learning Through the Arts (LTTA) pedagogical approach, the project activates the collective through a series of initiatives that:
- Support the artistic production and research of the collective’s members.
- Engage the community, particularly young people, in the regeneration of urban spaces through artistic practices facilitated by the collective’s artists.
The urban overdevelopment and lack of green spaces in the area severely impact social well-being. According to the ISPRA-SNPA 2020 report on land consumption, northern Naples is the most urbanized area in Italy. Many abandoned spaces require artistic and social interventions to be reclaimed for public use and community well-being.
The project aims to address this issue through:
- Call for Artists: A regional call to select artists working in visual arts (screen printing, street art, graphic novels, and photography). Selected artists will collaborate with the collective to address local urban and social challenges.
- Four Artistic Workshops: Based on the LTTA methodology, these workshops will engage young participants in creative expression.
- Art Hackathon: A unique event connecting the artistic and entrepreneurial worlds to ensure the sustainability of young artists’ work and career opportunities.
