Open a new refuge house to accommodate women with a personalized program, supporting them in trauma recovery, and restoring their individual and parental capacities while fostering autonomy.
Activate psychological and legal counseling services, forming teams of psychologists specialized in gender violence and legal experts (civil and criminal).
Promote socio-labor reintegration programs to help survivors reintegrate into society through professional training and employment support.
Provide psychological support services for children, with therapy and counseling programs to help them process and overcome the trauma of domestic violence.
Gender-based violence remains a pressing issue nationwide. With 15 years of experience, Gruppo R adopts a cross-disciplinary and multi-professional approach.
The project “Violence Stop: New Paths to Take” will be implemented in Padua and its province through three parallel actions:
- Opening a New Refuge House: many requests for shelter still cannot be accommodated in appropriate facilities. Gruppo R aims to establish a new refuge house for women victims of violence and their children. The house will provide a personalized recovery and social inclusion program, as well as psychological and legal support. The goal is not only to ensure the safety of women but also to promote autonomy, process the experience of violence, and enable reintegration into society.
- Socio-Labor Reintegration: economic independence is a fundamental aspect of recovery and can be achieved through reintegration into the workforce. Gruppo R will leverage the expertise of a specialized multidisciplinary team (including labor market operators, psychologists, and educators) trained in employment reintegration. This approach ensures a holistic and autonomy-oriented reception program.
- Psychological Support for Minors: children living in refuge houses have often witnessed violence, leading to physical, cognitive, behavioral, and social effects. When the cycle of violence impacts children, they endure traumatic situations with both short- and long-term consequences. A psychologist specializing in gender violence will work in the new refuge house, providing children with a safe space to process their experiences, fostering resilience, and supporting emotional well-being.
