Provide a high-level platform for global peace dialogue and engagement by bringing together a unique community of cultural, religious, economic, political, and humanitarian actors.
Engage a wide audience, particularly young people, through speeches, testimonies, and debates, fostering the emergence of solutions and initiatives for peacebuilding and responses to contemporary crises.
Since 1987, the Community of Sant’Egidio has organized an annual international meeting dedicated to dialogue and the growth of a true humanistic culture and hospitality among peacebuilders from all backgrounds.
For 35 years, from Rome to Barcelona, from Bucharest to Brussels, from Madrid to Lyon, from Krakow to Berlin, and in 2024, in Paris, this dialogue-based meeting aims to break down the walls of ignorance and hostility to cultivate a vision of peace.
The 2024 International Meeting for Peace – Imaginer la Paix will take place in Paris from September 22 to 24.
There will be 21 forums addressing key topics of international interest such as health as a universal right, democracy under stress, migration, the Mediterranean region, wars, the role of religions in promoting peace, artificial intelligence, inequalities, and a forum titled “Imagining a Future Free from Nuclear Weapons.”
