Enhance and disseminate the historical memory of Italian pacifism, making it accessible through a continuously expanding digital portal.
Actively engage younger generations, through educational initiatives in schools and universities, and digital tools such as podcasts and e-books.
Promote civic participation and commitment to peace, by encouraging collective material gathering and collaboration among local and national networks.
Make the project sustainable and participatory, structuring it as a long-term tool for education, research, and cultural dissemination.
“Pace in movimento – Phase 2”, promoted by Arci APS, is the continuation of a project launched in 2024 with the goal of documenting, promoting, and making accessible the memory of the Italian pacifist movement.
At the heart of the project is the “Pace in movimento” portal, which collects historical and contemporary materials (texts, images, videos, audio) related to peace culture and nonviolent conflict resolution. In this second phase, the project aims to strengthen the portal as a participatory, educational, and informative tool, with a particular focus on engaging younger generations.
The main planned actions include: expanding the website and archive through the participatory collection of new materials, and producing an e-book and audiobook on the topic. On the educational side, the project includes school and university events to raise awareness among students on the importance of pacifist memory, actively involving them in building the portal. These initiatives will also be carried out thanks to a local network of clubs and committees.
The project is based on an open, inclusive, and participatory approach, aimed at promoting values of peace, human rights, and active citizenship. Through innovative methodologies, such as peer education and collective storytelling, “Pace in movimento” seeks to become a living archive, capable of stimulating reflection, research, and new narratives on the culture of nonviolence.
