Objectives

Promoting training activities for healthcare workers—going beyond their professional training—to learn about social and health screenings and how to write protection and management procedures.

Implementing telemedicine interventions for prevention and distance monitoring of infected people through bracelets that monitor vital parameters, so that doctors don’t have to risk getting infected and patients don’t necessarily have to be hospitalized. Particular support is aimed at vulnerable and neglected sections of the population (elderly, inmates, migrants and other fragile groups).

Doctors and nurses are at the forefront and are particularly exposed to the virus: that is why thousands of them have been infected. Healthcare workers and structures need protecting so that care can be ensured to both COVID- and non-COVID patients.

The project focuses on IPC (Infection Prevention Control) interventions more than on equipment supply, which is now a Civil Protection task.
