Reaching out to young people aged 15 - 29 who are not working and not involved in education or training in order to help them develop competences linked to local businesses that are sensitive to environmental issues.
Fostering the creation of a network meeting the needs of small producers, of NEET youth and of consumers, with a view to integrating, reactivating, reducing waste and optimizing raw materials.
Setting up three sustainable businesses in honey production, dairy production and snail farming, where the youth can be trained and subsequently employed. The products will be sold in local shops and through an e-commerce website created for the purpose.
Helping young people regain their motivation with the support of an ad-hoc counseling service, so that they can enroll in training courses in any field, go back to university or start a business.
The project aims at fostering a full and harmonious development for NEET youth in the Apennines area near Teramo, helping them activate the resources necessary to build their own future, as well as the wish to give their own contribution to a culture of peace and social solidarity.
The project starts with a vulnerability analysis for the honey and dairy production and snail farming sectors. Then the youth will receive the materials and equipment necessary to set up the companies and will receive specialized training.
An ad-hoc counseling service will be set up for the youth involved in the project and funds will be given to implement the business proposals that will be deemed adequate and feasible.
The products and services offered will be assessed all along the project to continuously improve business management, and an e-commerce website will be created.
The project will carry out an analysis of the needs, contexts and reasons behind the NEET phenomenon, gathering quantitative and qualitative data to help understand it.
